Respond to needs in your community while learning new work skills and earn money for education. These service positions offer individuals the opportunity to assist pre-k through high school aged youth with school work in the classroom or provide educational and recreational programming for youth at after-school centers.
Full time positions are located in Minneapolis and St. Paul and begin in September 2008 and end in August 2009.
Service placements are at CommonBond Communities Advantage Centers, Neighborhood House, Jane Addams School for Democracy, Museum Magnate, Four Seasons, and Riverview elementary schools, Humboldt High School, and Guadalupe Alternative Program (GAP). For more information contact
Minimum Requirements
Members must:
- Be at least 17 years of age at the beginning of service;
- Have a high school diploma or its equivalent; or be willing to obtain a high school diploma or its equivalent prior to using the education award;
- Be a citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States,
- Pass a criminal background check
