More than $12 million has been raised to support the development of CommonBond Communities’ homes with services to help those most in need in our region. The Open 4000 Doors Campaign has received tremendous support with a dozen signature gifts in excess of $100,000 from business and community leaders. Lead gifts have generously been committed by the Pohlad Family Foundation, Frey Foundation, Wells Fargo former executive John Berg and his wife Nancy, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and The McKnight Foundation.
In order to serve those most in need in our region, CommonBond’s inaugural campaign has three initiatives. A Housing Investment Fund of $8 million will enable CommonBond to increase its affordable housing stock. Advantage Center Fund will provide $10 million in endowment and bridge funding for CommonBond’s trademark Advantage Centers which help adults find and keep jobs, children do well in school and seniors and people with special needs remain living independently. And CommonBond will also raise $3 million to obtain a new home in St. Paul for CommonBond headquarters.
