CommonBond's on-site Advantage Centers provide a youth-friendly environment where professional staff and trained volunteers help young residents develop the skills and abilities they need to succeed academically and in their personal lives.
Academic Support CommonBond partners with children, families, and schools to provide a wide range of academic support and learning activities, including:
- Study Buddies, a one-to-one mentoring program.
- Learning Circles, a group mentoring program.
- Homework Centers, which provide on-site drop-in tutoring and homework help for CommonBond youth.
- Pre-school & family learning opportunities like Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) and other school readiness programs.
Recreation and Service Activities Children need time to play. Our Advantage Service staff and programs give them the chance to get out and have fun! Our programs include:
- Summer Fun, an onsite program that provides summer activities and crafts for resident children.
- On-site Campfire USA programs
Teen and Pre-Teen Employment and Service Learning Programs We connect teens and pre-teens with employment and service learning opportunities that benefit them and the communities in which they live, work, and serve. |
