Volunteering with Youth Youth programs at CommonBond help resident youth achieve academic and social success. We have many youth programs through Advantage Services, and are most often recruiting for youth volunteers. To view opportunities to volunteer with youth, please click here.

Study Buddies Study Buddies is a one-on-one academic mentoring program. Spend one to two hours a week helping a child with homework assignments, special projects, academic skills, and more. |

Learning Circles Learning Circles is a youth mentoring support program. Volunteers mentor up to four residents in 4th to 12th grade with similar learning goals. These groups meet for 1½ hours twice a week throughout the school year, providing youth with academic assistance and group support.

Homework Center Homework Center tutors team up with CommonBond staff to assist groups of students at drop-in homework centers. Tutors aid students with homework assignments and strengthen academic skills in a fun, productive environment. |

Camp Fire Come share the fun of being a Camp Fire kid! A partner organization of CommonBond, Camp Fire creates programming that builds caring, confident youth and future leaders Camp Fire volunteers assist by leading small Camp Fire groups in fun activities after school. |

Preschool Program Preschool Program volunteers will assist in the preschool program by supervising children who may be preparing for Kindergarten or learning social skills.

Teen Programs Teen Program volunteers will assist with leadership development in teen programs at CommonBond homes. Help teens to learn job readiness, social skills and productive life skills.

Career Advantage Program Assistant The Career Advantage Program Assistant will assist residents of CommonBond Communities with securing, retaining and advancing in employment, accessing income supports and building financial assets. |

English Language Instruction English Language volunteers work either one-on-one or in small groups with adults who are learning English as a second language. Students’ needs range from beginners who need help in basic English to more advanced students who want to fine-tune their skills. |

Adult Tutors Adult Instructors assist residents to complete their GED, study for their citizenship exam or pursue their education. |

Technology Team Computer Instructors teach basic computer skills to residents. If you know Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, or other products and computer skills, this is the opportunity for you! |

Group Volunteer Opportunities Your corporate, civic, church and school groups can help build homes and hope by volunteering at one-time projects that support affordable homes. Groups typically come for 3-4 hours Monday through Friday between 9 am and 4 pm. |
